Job description
As a ServiceNow Test Lead - Automated Test Framework, you will take charge of quality assurance across multiple workstreams and scrum teams, ensuring that all aspects of the project meet rigorous standards. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing and mentoring testers, defining and driving standardized testing processes, and owning the delivery of project quality objectives. You will be deeply involved in assessing user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria, translating these into comprehensive test cases and scripts. Your role will also require you to execute a variety of tests - functional, non-functional, exploratory, regression, and more-while meticulously documenting results and collaborating closely with developers, analysts, and other stakeholders to address any issues that arise.
To excel in this position, you will leverage your extensive experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Postman, Chrome Developer Tools, and accessibility testing products like JAWS. You will regularly work with technologies including JSON, XML, SOAP, REST, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, applying your expertise to perform security, performance, and accessibility testing. Your responsibilities will also encompass driving planning and estimation activities, managing test data, and ensuring effective communication between development and validation teams. Staying current with ServiceNow technologies and industry best practices will be essential, as will your ability to identify redundant components, improve business application knowledge, and proactively track documentation, defect triage, and root cause analysis throughout the software development lifecycle., * Manage and coach other testers, supporting projects with multiple workstreams and scrum teams, ensuring quality across all teams and testers.
- Own project quality objectives, including defining, driving, measuring, and reporting QASP metrics.
- Drive standardized processes and best practices in testing and agile delivery.
- Assess use cases, processes, flows, user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Define appropriate test cases and test scripts, including the test data to be used.
- Manage test data by documenting the results of each test cycle to identify flaws.
- Liaise with the software development team, including scrum master, developers, analysts, and other testers.
- Execute functional and non-functional testing, including positive/negative tests, manual tests, exploratory tests, and regression tests; document and communicate results to team members.
- Interact with and coordinate the development and validation team to ensure effective communication.
- Identify and eliminate redundant functions and components.
- Improve knowledge of business applications and user needs and expectations.
- Understand and implement industry standards, protocols, and testing tools, and stay up-to-date on ServiceNow technologies.
- Actively drive and track planning and estimation activities.
- Actively drive and track break/fix/enhancement, defect triage, and root cause analysis.
- Actively drive and track documentation activities, including work products, artifacts, and deliverables.
Requirements
- ICAgile Certified or Certified Scrum Master
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
- 2+ Implementation Specialist and/or Application Developer Certifications
