Senior Systems Engineer

• Administration of a multi-tenant Azure cloud environment.
• Administration of Microsoft Azure GCC and GCC-High government cloud tenants.
• Engage with appropriate vendors, clients and internal team members to evaluate, guide, and support the implementation of custom virtualization solutions.
• Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management to comply with industry regulations.
• Work with the Cyber Security Team to identify threats and known vulnerabilities, and perform upgrades, configuration changes and/or new tools and systems to address threats and risks.
• Implement tools and technologies in support of cybersecurity policies and procedures designed to support NIST 800-171, CSC 18 and HIPAA.
• Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software.
• Support budget and report on expenditures.
• Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts.
• Help ensure Site2 is prepared for a CMMC and/or SOC compliance audit.

The qualified candidate is expected to be very knowledgeable in networking, virtualization/cloud computing and desktop operating systems. They should have a solid technical background while also being able to plan complex projects involving multiple resources., * 5+ years Information Technology experience required

• A proven ability to engage with senior management, clients, and regulators.
• Experience managing projects using project management tools.
• Experience in supporting virtualization platforms. VMWare certification a plus.
• Expertise with architecting and migrating clients to the Microsoft Azure Cloud.
• Experience in setting up and troubleshooting complex networks and firewall scenarios. Fortinet experience preferred.
• Linux OS knowledge is a plus.
• Experience using RMM tools. ConnectWise RMM experience preferred.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or a related field is required.
• Demonstrates continued learning, such as software certifications, is highly desirable.
• Proven experience as a senior systems engineer, Tier 3 SOC Analysis or similar role.
• Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications.
• Experience in managing an information technology budget.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while also being able to collaborate with peers and the leadership team.
• Due to Federal contracts, applicant must be a U.S. citizen., * System administration: 5 years (Required)
