Job description

We are seeking a Microsoft Teams Room Support Engineer with 4+ years of experience supporting video conferencing, unified communications, and AV collaboration technologies.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the deployment, administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) environments across enterprise meeting spaces.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms devices, Microsoft 365 administration, Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online, networking fundamentals, and AV hardware ecosystems including Logitech, Poly, Crestron, Yealink, and Surface Hub solutions.

The Microsoft Teams Room Support Engineer will play a key role in ensuring seamless meeting experiences, system reliability, security compliance, and operational excellence across all conference room environments., * Provide day-to-day support and administration of Microsoft Teams Room systems and related AV technologies.

  • Install, configure, and deploy Microsoft Teams Room devices, including cameras, microphones, speakers, touch panels, and displays.
  • Integrate Teams Rooms with organizational infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Exchange Online, Active Directory, and networking services.
  • Monitor room health, device performance, and service availability using Teams Admin Center, Pro Management Portal, and other monitoring tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, audio/video, connectivity, and meeting experience issues.
  • Manage Teams Room firmware updates, Windows updates, security patches, and device lifecycle activities.
  • Perform routine health checks, preventative maintenance, and system optimization activities.
  • Support meeting organizers and end users with meeting setup, testing, and live troubleshooting.
  • Create and maintain deployment documentation, standard operating procedures, and support knowledge bases.
  • Analyze recurring issues and implement long-term corrective actions to improve service reliability.
  • Coordinate with networking, security, facilities, and AV vendors to ensure successful deployments and ongoing support.
  • Support device authentication, access controls, compliance requirements, and security best practices.
  • Assist with room technology upgrades, hardware refreshes, and decommissioning activities.
  • Track incidents, service requests, and operational metrics while maintaining accurate documentation.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Video conferencing systems operation?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 4+ years of experience supporting video conferencing, unified communications, or AV collaboration environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms administration and support.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills involving Microsoft Teams, Windows operating systems, and AV peripherals.
  • Experience supporting Teams Room devices from manufacturers such as Logitech, Poly, Crestron, Yealink, and Surface Hub.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 administration, Teams Administration, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), and Exchange Online.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and wireless connectivity.
  • Experience using Teams Admin Center and device management portals.
  • Familiarity with firmware management, patching, system monitoring, and preventative maintenance processes.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting large-scale Microsoft Teams Room deployments.
  • Microsoft Teams Administrator experience and Teams Room certification knowledge.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro Management Portal.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, Endpoint Manager, and device management solutions.
  • Knowledge of AV integration standards and conference room technologies.
  • Experience supporting executive conference rooms and high-profile meetings.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes, incident management, and change management practices.
  • Experience working with third-party AV vendors and managed service providers.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Teams Administrator Associate, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or AVIXA CTS.
  • Experience supporting enterprise collaboration and hybrid workplace environments.
