Job description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior A/V Systems Technician to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about audio-visual technology and eager to build a career in the field. The successful candidate will assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of A/V equipment in various environments, ensuring high-quality experiences for all users., * Assist with the setup, configuration, and calibration of audio and video systems in offices, meeting rooms, classrooms, and event spaces.
- Support the installation of projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, amplifiers, and other A/V hardware.
- Monitor system performance and address technical issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct routine maintenance and testing of A/V equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Provide basic troubleshooting and user support, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment and service activities.
- Follow best practices in safety and adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with senior technicians and other team members.
- Continually develop skills and stay current with industry trends and technologies.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Cabling?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated interest in audio/visual technologies (internship, coursework, or personal projects).
- Basic knowledge of A/V systems, cabling, and connections.
- Understanding of common A/V equipment (projectors, amplifiers, microphones).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between work sites as needed., * Associate degree or technical diploma in electronics, information technology, or related field.
- 0-1 years’ practical experience in A/V systems (such as internships or volunteer work).
- Familiarity with AV-over-IP solutions and digital signage technologies.
- Industry certifications (e.g., CTS, Extron, Crestron) are a plus.
- Basic understanding of network infrastructure and integration with A/V systems.
