Job description

Everest is looking for a Junior Software Engineer - Full Stack to join our Actuarial Catastrophe Modeling department of Everest Global Services, a member of Everest Group, Ltd. In this role, you will join a small and growing development team with lots of growth opportunity and flexibility to work on a number of different projects across the team. You will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of software solutions, while building your technical skills and gaining exposure to cloud platforms and modern frameworks., * The initial training phase includes learning the reinsurance business by pricing reinsurance contracts and running catastrophe models

  • Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of full stack applications using the Microsoft technology stack
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code with guidance from senior developers
  • Help identify and troubleshoot bugs and performance issues

Requirements

Do you have experience in Stored procedures?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field

  • 0-2 years of professional software development experience (internships and academic projects count)
  • Basic knowledge of C#, .NET, ASP.NET, or similar technologies
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Angular or React
  • Understanding of relational databases such as SQL Server; knowledge of writing simple queries and stored procedures
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and work collaboratively

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Internship or project experience with building web applications or REST APIs
  • Knowledge of Python or scripting languages
  • Exposure to version control tools like Git
  • Interest in the insurance or reinsurance industry
  • Basic knowledge of math, probability and statistics

The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
