Job description

We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst with strong expertise in Oracle PeopleSoft HCM to provide senior-level functional and technical support for enterprise HR and Payroll systems. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM modules, system configurations, workflow management, integrations, reporting, and support processes.

The role requires the ability to analyze business requirements, configure system solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, support upgrades and deployments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced enterprise environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced functional support for Oracle PeopleSoft HCM modules including Workforce Administration, Payroll Interface, Commitment Accounting, Time and Labor, Talent Acquisition Management/Recruiting, and HR Security.
  • Configure and maintain system components including job codes, positions, departments, compensation structures, workflows, and security settings.
  • Create and review Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and perform functional configurations using tools such as Page and Field Configurator, Drop Zones, and Event Mapping.
  • Manage Approval Workflow Engine (AWE), including setup, user roles, notifications, monitoring, and issue resolution.
  • Develop and support reports and queries using PS/Query, SQL, SQR, and BI Publisher.
  • Utilize technical tools including Application Designer, Integration Broker, and other PeopleSoft technologies to support system functionality.
  • Monitor batch processes, manage job dependencies, perform troubleshooting, optimize performance, and maintain system documentation.
  • Support PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM), Change Assistant, Fluid UI enhancements, Elasticsearch, and data migration activities.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, leave management requirements, accessibility standards, and enterprise security practices.
  • Participate in system testing, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and production support activities.
  • Support incident management, problem resolution, major incidents, disaster recovery testing, and audit-related activities.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external support teams to deliver reliable system solutions.
  • Follow established SDLC, Agile, ITIL, and change management practices.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Oracle PeopleSoft HCM 9.2, including modules such as HR, Payroll, Position Management, Commitment Accounting, Time and Labor, Performance Management, and Recruiting.
  • Strong experience with PeopleSoft functional configuration, workflow setup, and Approval Workflow Engine (AWE).
  • Experience with FMLA compliance and HR/Payroll module integration.
  • Proficiency in PS/Query, SQL, SQR, BI Publisher, and Integration Broker.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft security, multi-tenant environments, and user access management.
  • Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM), Change Assistant, Fluid UI, and selective adoption processes.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience performing system testing, UAT, regression testing, and production support.
  • Familiarity with incident management tools and processes.
  • Ability to translate business and HR policy requirements into effective system configurations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of NIST security frameworks and best practices.
  • Experience working within large enterprise or government environments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL service management, Agile methodologies, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience supporting accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1.
