Data Engineer

Insight Global is looking to hire multiple Secret cleared Data Engineer to support a defense customer.

• These operations are performed remotely and supporting a team based in the VA area with requirements to work in EST and travel to Quantico as needed. Daily tasks include, but not limited to: -Design, build, and maintain cloud-based data platforms and infrastructure.

• Develop and optimize data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and integrations using APIs.
• Manage, transform, and prepare data for analytics, AI/ML, and model training.
• Support data governance, security, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance on data architecture, storage, and technology solutions.

• Follow coding best practices and align data solutions with business needs. -Collaborate with teams to solve problems and improve program performance.

• Ensure proper handling of sensitive data, including PII and CUI requirements.

Active Secret Clearance

• Bachelors Degree with 8 years of experience on Masters Degree with 6 years of experience (12 years in lieu of degree)
• Experience building cloud-based data platforms, Data Lakes, and Data Warehouses using SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or Kinesis
• Programming skills in Java, Python, SQL, Scala, or R with strong software development practices.
