Hardware Designer

Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Fremont, CA. Interested? Here’s what you’d do:

• Develops and supports additive manufacturing (‘AM’) processes and technology, including, but not limited to, 3D printing, rapid prototyping (RP), direct digital manufacturing (DDM), layered manufacturing and additive fabrications.
• Determines material-process-design interdependencies provides AM design optimization input, researches and facilitates AM material and process discussions and requirements, interfaces with product line.
• Applies digital design, CAD, solid modeling software and computer aided engineering methods.
• Interprets engineering drawings/specifications and manufacturing processes; problem solves material, process and parts issues such as defect structure and porosity issues.
• Develops test methods and procedures, performs inspection and failure analysis.
• May develop qualitative tools and software to optimize and increase reliability of existing equipment for AM.

Do you have experience in CAD, solid modeling, and computer-aided engineering tools?, * High School Diploma or GED

• Minimum 3 years of experience in CAD, solid modeling, and computer-aided engineering tools.

Preferred skills:

• Mechanical design concepts / development
• Proficiency in NX CAD, large assembly management
• Cable routing in CAD
