SOFTWARE ENGINEER

VSolvit is hiring a Software Engineer to implement features and deliver high-quality solutions for DoD applications. Engineers will develop user stories, write associated tests, and support Agile development cycles with a strong focus on collaboration and quality.

As an Engineer, you will work with modern development frameworks, cloud environments, and DevSecOps pipelines to build scalable, secure systems.

Responsibilities

• Experience with common JavaScript libraries (Angular, React, jQuery, Backbone, Redux etc.)
• Implement stories from backlog using Angular, React, Java, and other tools
• Apply Test-Driven Development and pair programming in XP framework
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Git, Tanzu)
• Support database development with MySQL 8.0
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous integration cycles
• Document implementation in Confluence
• Manage and optimize container pipelines within Tanzu
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to address POA&M requirements
• Support networking tasks (BigIP F5, VPN, firewalls, TCP/IP, DNS, SFTP)

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field * 3+ years of software development experience * Experience in Agile development(Scrum/XP/Lean) * Strong understanding of cloud architecture and DevSecOps * Familiarity with Jira and Confluence * U.S Citizenship required * Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance * If applicable: If you are or have been recently employed by the U.S. government, a post-employment ethics letter will be required if employment with VSolvit is offered

Preferred Qualifications * DoD environment experience * Strong background in Agile product delivery * Hands-on CI/CD pipeline management (Git, Tanzu, Kubernetes) * Experiencewith infrastructure security
