Job description

We are seeking a Technical Analyst (COBOL) to provide ongoing support and issue resolution for the legacy Corporate Customer Database (CCD). This role will also play a critical part in preparing for the CCD modernization effort targeted for FY 2026 by conducting research, analysis, and process reviews.

In addition to support activities, the analyst will be responsible for reviewing CCD jobs, processes, databases, and existing documentation. The role requires updating and creating documentation to ensure that all CCD processes are accurately captured and maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support and issue resolution for the legacy CCD system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in COBOL-based jobs and related CCD processes.
  • Perform research and analysis in preparation for the CCD modernization initiative.
  • Review CCD batch jobs, processes, and database structures to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze existing documentation for accuracy and relevance; update or create new documentation as needed.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to capture requirements and ensure alignment with modernization goals.
  • Contribute to knowledge transfer and maintain process documentation for long-term sustainability.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Research?, * 3-5 years of experience supporting COBOL applications and legacy systems.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to review, document, and improve existing technical and business processes.
  • Working knowledge of database structures, batch jobs, and workflows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in documenting technical processes.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across technical and business teams.

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience supporting corporate customer databases or enterprise data management systems.
  • Exposure to system modernization or migration projects.
  • Familiarity with both legacy and modern database technologies., * COBOL: 3 years (Required)
