Job description

We are seeking a ServiceNow Developer/Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise ServiceNow solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for defining platform architecture, establishing development standards, and delivering scalable solutions that support business and operational objectives.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, architects, and project teams to design and implement ServiceNow capabilities while ensuring platform performance, security, maintainability, and long-term scalability.

Duties:

  • Define and maintain the overall ServiceNow platform architecture, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Design and develop custom ServiceNow applications, workflows, integrations, and platform enhancements.
  • Lead the development of Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, Flow Designer workflows, and platform automation solutions.
  • Design and implement integrations with third-party systems using IntegrationHub, MID Servers, REST APIs, SOAP APIs, and related technologies.
  • Establish development standards, governance practices, and technical design guidelines to support platform scalability and maintainability.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide technical leadership to development teams.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs and solution architectures.
  • Support platform security, access controls, and compliance requirements through secure design and development practices.
  • Provide guidance on CMDB, ITSM, ITOM, Discovery, Service Mapping, and related ServiceNow capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot complex platform issues and support performance optimization initiatives.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, solution designs, and implementation plans.
  • Support leadership and stakeholders by communicating technical concepts and architectural recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Web services design?, * U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of overall IT experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow architecture and development experience.
  • Expert-level knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture, administration, and development.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, HTML, CSS, Service Portal, Studio, UI Builder, and related ServiceNow development tools.
  • Experience designing and implementing ServiceNow integrations using IntegrationHub, REST APIs, SOAP APIs, and MID Servers.
  • Strong understanding of CMDB, ITSM, ITOM, Discovery, and Service Mapping capabilities.
  • Experience working within highly regulated, secure, or government environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum methodology and related tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow Agile Development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions and collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to work onsite four days per week in Columbus, Ohio., * Experience supporting state, local, or federal government organizations.
  • Experience working in FedRAMP-authorized or similarly regulated cloud environments.
  • ITIL v4 Foundation Certification.
  • Experience leading enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations and platform modernization initiatives.
  • ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or Certified Master Architect (CMA).
  • Security+ or similar cybersecurity certification.

Required Certifications:

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) - ITSM or ITOM preferred.
