Job description

  • Lead end-to-end SAP data migration and upgrade project lifecycles across multiple concurrent client engagements.
  • Architect and deliver ETL solutions using SAP BODS (XI 3.2, 4.0, 4.2) for complex legacy-to-S/4 HANA migrations.
  • Drive data loads into S/4 HANA using IDOCS, LTMC/LTMOM (Migration Cockpit), LSMW, BAPIs, and ABAP programs.
  • Lead the design of Technical Specifications, DODS (Data Object Data Sheets), and DOMD (Data Object Mapping Documents).
  • Develop and enhance IDOCs based on business requirements, promote changes across Dev/Test/Production environments.
  • Configure logical systems (BD54), TCP/IP RFC connections (SM59), and manage BODS server installations on all environments.
  • Implement complex pricing condition loads (e.g., ZPR0, ZDIS, COND_A) and multi-step inventory migration scenarios.
  • Lead GAP analysis workshops to identify and resolve missing or conflicting data requirements.
  • Oversee data profiling, cleansing, and quality assurance activities using SAP Information Steward including scorecard creation and GDPR-aligned rules.
  • Design and develop preload readiness and post-load validation reports.
  • Analyse failed IDOCs via SLG1, diagnose root causes, and drive permanent resolution.
  • Facilitate data validation and readiness sessions, securing business sign-off for each load wave.
  • Administer SAP BOBI 4.0/XIR3 architecture and manage users and user groups.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for client stakeholders throughout project delivery.
  • Manage business expectations and translate functional requirements into robust ETL design and migration logic.
  • Lead Trial Loads, SIT, UAT, and Cutover Activities including contingency planning and rollback procedures.
  • Prepare and present status reports, risk logs, and delivery updates at programme governance forums.

Requirements

Do you have experience in UNIX?, * 15+ years of SAP data migration and ETL experience, with at least 5 full end-to-end project lifecycles delivered.

  • Experience in version upgrade of BODS environment.
  • Expert-level SAP BODS (Business Objects Data Services) across versions XI 3.2, 4.0, and 4.2.
  • Proven hands-on experience with S/4 HANA data migration using LTMC, LTMOM, LSMW, IDOCs, and BAPIs.
  • Deep knowledge of SAP functional areas: MM, SD, FI (GL/AP/AR), and at least one of OTC, Engineering, or HR.
  • Strong SQL skills (Oracle 9i12g and/or SQL Server); ability to write complex queries for data analysis and validation.
  • UNIX shell scripting for automation, scheduling, and FTP-based file management.
  • Experience with ABAP dataflows and working knowledge of ABAP programs for data migration.
  • Track record of client-facing delivery, including stakeholder management and sign-off facilitation.
