Unit Testing AUTomotive Open System Architecture (AUTOSAR) MATLAB Language Modeling Software Engineering Strategies of Testing Software Library

Job description

We are seeking Model-Based Software Developers to support the restructuring and modernization of a large, complex software model. This role is focused on model-based software development rather than traditional controls engineering, though candidates with a controls background are welcome if they have strong model-based development experience.

The team is breaking down a large monolithic model into smaller, modular components, rebuilding libraries, and standardizing interfaces. This work is primarily performed in MATLAB/Simulink and represents the first phase of a broader software transformation effort supporting a high-visibility program., * Decompose large MATLAB/Simulink models into smaller, modular components using a defined mega-model architecture

  • Rebuild and standardize software libraries, including standardized inputs/outputs and interfaces
  • Implement model-based software within an AUTOSAR wrapper (model-based AUTOSAR)
  • Update and maintain unit tests and simulations as models are restructured
  • Perform and support MIL (Model-in-the-Loop) testing as models are broken into modular elements
  • Support simulation and testing activities using tools such as dSPACE, including limited HIL modification where applicable
  • Collaborate with the team to define testing strategies, focusing on how software should be tested within a model-based environment

Requirements

  • Strong experience with MATLAB/Simulink for model-based software development
  • Experience developing, modifying, or restructuring model-based software
  • Understanding of MIL testing and simulation-based validation
  • Ability to work within a structured architecture and follow standardized modeling and I/O practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AUTOSAR, particularly model-based AUTOSAR development
  • Familiarity with dSPACE tools and environments
  • Exposure to HIL testing or modifying HIL setups
  • Background in controls engineering with strong software modeling focus

Experience Level

  • Open to a range of experience levels
  • Team will include a mix of junior and senior engineers
