Job description

At the Law Office of Bryan Fagan, we believe that great legal work starts with great technology. We are seeking a skilled IT Specialist, for our Houston Corporate office, to ensure our team has the secure, efficient, and reliable technical environment they need to fight for our clients. From managing complex networks to supporting our staff across Texas, you will be the primary guardian of our firm’s technological health. Join a team where your expertise is valued, and your work directly impacts the success of our mission., * Provide technical support to end-users, assisting with hardware and software issues.

  • Maintain and manage the firm’s computer systems, including servers, workstations, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade software applications and operating systems.
  • Ensure data security by establishing and monitoring appropriate security measures and procedures.
  • Collaborate with external vendors for IT solutions and services when necessary.
  • Conduct regular audits of systems and software to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Train staff on new systems, company software, and safe internet practices.
  • Tracking and inventory upkeep of all IT equipment.
  • Travel to the Texas sites as needed.
  • Perform ongoing assessments of software and hardware infrastructure to propose necessary upgrades or new system implementations.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Non-technical user support?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 5-7 years years of experience in IT support, preferably in a legal or professional services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Experience with Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical staff.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are beneficial.
  • Assist with the technical configuration and decommissioning of IT infrastructure during the launch and closure of office locations.
  • Other job duties as needed.
