Job description

We are seeking an experienced Integration Engineer with strong HL7, interface development, and integration engine expertise to support the design, build and deployment of clinical and PAS workflows across our customer sites. You will work closely with clinical, operational and digital teams to deliver safe, reliable and well-documented integrations that underpin the successful implementation of our PAS and Clinical Solutions., * Design, document, build and deploy HL7 interfaces and integration workflows in partnership with customers and internal teams.

  • Work with integration engines (e.g., Rhapsody, Ensemble/HealthShare, Mirth, Cloverleaf, etc.) to configure, test and optimise interfaces.
  • Maintain clear, accurate technical and project documentation, ensuring all build decisions and workflows are fully traceable.
  • Provide regular updates to the Project Manager, escalating risks, issues and dependencies in a timely manner.
  • Support the implementation of PAS and Clinical Solutions as directed by the Domain Lead and Project Manager, ensuring alignment with customer and business requirements.
  • Act as a consultative partner to customers, advising on configuration approaches that enhance clinical workflows and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to the functional development of clinical products by providing domain insight, feedback and improvement recommendations.
  • Participate in testing cycles, including unit testing, system testing, UAT, and go-live support.
  • Ensure all integration work adheres to clinical safety, data quality, and interoperability standards.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Unit testing?, This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys problem-solving, and can translate complex clinical and operational requirements into robust technical solutions., * Strong experience with HL7 v2.x, FHIR, and healthcare interoperability standards.

  • Hands-on experience with at least one integration engine (e.g., Rhapsody, Mirth, Ensemble/HealthShare, Cloverleaf).
  • Proven ability to design, build and troubleshoot clinical interfaces and workflows.
  • Understanding of PAS, clinical systems, and healthcare workflows.
  • Excellent documentation skills and experience working within structured project environments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying risks and issues.
  • Experience working within NHS or healthcare environments (highly desirable).
