ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY As a Budget System Business Analyst/Subject Matter Expert (SME), this position will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with a talented team of professionals in support of Air Force Financial Systems Organization at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. This potential role will be critical in ensuring effective information management that supports research missions. Join us and be part of our mission to make a difference! SOME RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Provide functional, operational, maintenance, and support for budget and planning systems.
- Translate conceptual and operational requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner for developers/project team.
- Perform functional acceptance software testing.
- Develop and conduct requirement reviews.
- Investigate and perform root-cause analysis to resolve system issues.
- Create end-user functional system documentation and provide end-user training.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Software documentation?, Do you have a Bachelorâs degree?, * Are you a tech enthusiast who loves solving complex problems?
- Do you have a keen eye for detail and excellent analytical skills?
- Would your friends describe you as a self-starter who takes pride in your work and enjoys collaborating with others?, * Bachelorâs Degree in a related field (or 10 yearsâ Federal Budget experience).
- Understanding of DoD and Air Force and Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes.
- Understanding of different program and organizational levels, exhibit management, reporting, submission tracking, and budget justification books (j-books).
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Direct experience with data collection and analysis.
- Experience testing and mapping business processes.
- Ability to interpret technical discussions, analyze and solve problems, while creating and maintaining documentation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize, work accurately, and meet deadlines independently and as part of a team.
- Candidates must be U.S. Citizens and can obtain a favorable National Agency Check Investigation (NACI) clearance., * Familiarity with the Integrated Budget Documentation and Execution System (IDECS) and/or Keystone Decision Support System (KDSS).
- DoD Financial Management (FM) certification Level 1 or 2.
- Experience gathering and tracking system requirements through requirements lifecycle and the ability to perform acceptance testing.
- Knowledge of Audit standards to include familiarity with GAO, OMB, OUSD(C), DFAS and Air Force FIAR strategy, guidance and processes; to include the âRed Bookâ, âGreen Bookâ, and the âBlue Bookâ.
- Experience creating dashboards for stakeholders.
