Job description

Seven Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Data Quality Assistant to support a Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) team based in Powys., This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-focused administrator with strong data accuracy and IT skills to support the maintenance and quality assurance of member records used in the calculation and payment of pension benefits.

The role involves working within established procedures to ensure pension data is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements, supporting the wider pensions administration function., * Support the administration of the Local Government Pension Scheme in line with relevant regulations

  • Check and verify pension applications including benefits, transfers, and aggregations prior to processing
  • Maintain accurate member data across active, deferred, and pensioner records
  • Interpret and process new starter and change of circumstance information
  • Issue statutory documentation to scheme members within required timescales
  • Verify employer-supplied data before updating pension records
  • Assist with pension calculations including Final Salary and Career Average Revalued Earnings (CARE) schemes
  • Support aggregation of LGPS benefits in line with technical guidance
  • Assist with calculations relating to McCloud underpin protections
  • Ensure high standards of data quality and compliance across all records

Requirements

Do you have experience in Quality assurance?, Do you have a GCSE?, * Strong IT skills, including confident use of Microsoft Office and MS365

  • Excellent Excel skills (essential)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of data quality principles
  • Basic understanding of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) desirable
  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in English, Maths, and ICT
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, * admin/similar: 1 year (required)
