Website Designer

We are seeking a talented and innovative Website Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive websites that meet client specifications and enhance overall user experience. This role requires a strong foundation in digital design, front-end development, and user interface (UI) principles. The successful applicant will collaborate closely with developers, content creators, and project managers to deliver high-quality web solutions that align with brand identity and business objectives. The applicant will also be required to carry out design work according to briefs related to product and promotional design, * Design and develop engaging websites using a variety of tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD)

• Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups.
• Implement responsive web designs ensuring compatibility across multiple devices and browsers.
• Create websites on Shopify and Wordpress
• Design other graphics required for other elements of the business including but not limited to promotional and product images and materials
• Optimise websites for SEO best practices to improve visibility on search engines using tools like Google Analytics and content management systems such as WordPress and Drupal.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to refine website interfaces based on data analysis and user feedback.
• Maintain existing websites through updates, troubleshooting, and optimisation of website performance using PHP, MySQL, SQL, AJAX, and other back-end technologies.
• Collaborate with content creators to ensure content management systems are utilised effectively for website updates.
• Stay current with industry trends in web design, UX/UI principles, accessibility standards, and emerging technologies to continually enhance website functionality and aesthetics.

Do you have experience in Responsive web design?, * Proven experience in digital design with a strong portfolio showcasing responsive websites created from concept to deployment.

• Proficiency in front-end development languages including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including frameworks like React or Angular), PHP, Node.js.
• Extensive knowledge of UI/UX design principles along with experience in wireframing tools such as Balsamiq or Axure.
• Familiarity with content management systems including WordPress and Drupal.
• Experience working with graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects; proficiency in Adobe XD or Figma for prototyping is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of analytics tools like Google Analytics for data-driven decision making.
• Ability to conduct usability testing and implement improvements based on findings.
• Strong understanding of SEO strategies alongside technical optimisation skills for search engine ranking improvements.
