#1 about 2 min

Shifting focus from platform engineering to developer productivity

Building effective developer platforms requires prioritizing user-centric productivity over managing generic infrastructure systems.

#2 about 4 min

Historical context of cloud native cognitive load

Modern architectural patterns and self-service capabilities often overwhelm software developers with complicated operational responsibilities.

#3 about 5 min

Recognizing the downward spiral of platform engineering

Identifying when teams over-index on maintaining undifferentiated technical foundations exposes opportunities to resolve practical workflow friction.

#4 about 5 min

The inherent challenges of building technical abstractions

Leaky infrastructure abstractions force engineers to debug complex underlying systems and defeat the purpose of internal developer portals.

#5 about 4 min

Introducing the developer experience framework dimensions

The developer experience framework accurately models productivity by analyzing feedback loops, cognitive load, and sustained flow states.

#6 about 3 min

Working backwards from the developer as a customer

Applying user-centric product management techniques helps platform teams accurately identify and systematically resolve genuine friction points.

#7 about 6 min

Measuring developer workflows through perception and metrics

Combining qualitative employee sentiment with objective workflow telemetry provides a comprehensive view of actual engineering efficiency.

#8 about 6 min

Implementing an iterative approach to platform engineering

Platform teams maximize their organizational impact by continuously gathering structured feedback and running focused technical experiments.

#9 about 4 min

Generative artificial intelligence and global productivity impact

Advanced artificial intelligence tooling presents unprecedented opportunities to enhance software engineering delivery times and overall job satisfaction.

#10 about 6 min

Evaluating coding companions against actual daily development time

With engineers spending minimal hours on pure software writing, simple autocomplete tools offer highly limited productivity gains.

#11 about 11 min

Unlocking comprehensive engineering capabilities with development companions

Holistic artificial intelligence assistants comprehensively support the entire software lifecycle from architectural discovery to automated code modernization.

#12 about 2 min

Summarizing developer experience and artificial intelligence companions

Focusing on scalable conversational interfaces over rigid platform abstractions empowers engineers to maintain momentum during complex technical tasks.

#13 about 6 min

Audience questions on shared infrastructure and remote teams

Managing centralized systems while optimizing distributed workflows necessitates consistent technical collaboration and proactive organizational metric analysis.
