POTTHOFF + PARTNER develops software that makes a difference in Healthcare

Since 1985, POTTHOFF + PARTNER has been operating as an innovative software company in the healthcare sector. Deep expertise in healthcare and software development, and more than 190 successful installations reflect the high quality and reliability of our solutions.

Digitalization offers significant potential to optimize clinical processes across both administrative and medical domains. As a specialist in clinical software, we create the technical foundation needed to standardize and streamline workflows in healthcare environments.

With KOS, paper-based processes are transformed into efficient digital workflows, accelerating daily operations in clinics. Our mobile solutions already enable a wide range of tasks to be carried out digitally and on the move. Modern applications support staff across all departments—including medical care, therapy, diagnostics, and administration.

The KOS | ME patient portal actively integrates patients into clinical processes, establishing a new level of connectivity and engagement.

As part of the synava Group, we combine engineering depth with a broader healthcare IT ecosystem. We develop on a state-of-the-art stack—cloud-ready where it belongs, API-first by instinct—and we put AI to work where it truly moves the needle: faster iteration, sharper quality gates, and assistive intelligence that amplifies clinicians and staff while keeping accountability human. Together with experienced consultants and application specialists, we translate clinical and operational needs into thoughtful releases, clear interfaces, and user experiences that give on-site teams confidence—from documentation and billing to digitally supported workflows across the clinics.

Why this matters in practice

We do not build software in an ivory tower; we refine it in dialogue with clinical routine. That alignment reduces friction between departments, harmonizes how teams work, and turns improvement into something you can feel where it counts—for everyone who relies on KOS every day.

More momentum. More intelligence. More impact.

The future of Software Development is quite clear

Seeing Cursor 3 introduce a new agentic workflow really reinforces something we (and IT market) have been thinking about for a while:
Developers are gradually becoming orchestrators.

Not in the sense that they stop building, but in the sense that more of the job becomes guiding, reviewing, connecting, and shaping what agents produce.

And we think that changes a lot about how we should write software.

If developers are going to spend more time reading code generated by agents than writing every line themselves, then readability becomes much more important than before. The code has to be easy to follow, easy to reason about, and easy to verify.

Honestly, the same is true for AI. The clearer the codebase is, the easier it is for agents to work inside it without creating unnecessary mess.

That’s also one of the reasons we’re building Graftcode the way we are.

We want code to stay focused on business logic, not get buried under all the complexity of how services talk to each other. When that communication layer is less intrusive, the result is simply easier to understand - both for developers and for AI.

We think this will matter more and more over time.

The future is probably not just developers writing code.
It’s developers directing systems of agents.
And in that world, clear code is a huge advantage.

Check out link in the comment, and see how Graftcode can help you and AI focus on the business logic.

Inside aedifion - New Office and the aedifion Housewarming Party

More than eight years after our founding, our team is growing—and so is our office! While hybrid working is part of our DNA and our team is spread across Cologne and all over Germany, one thing became clear: our beautiful headquarters at Cologne's iconic Friesenplatz could no longer accommodate our 100+ employees.

Expanding Our Horizons

In addition to our iconic second-floor office on Hohenzollernring, we now rent inspiring new spaces on the 11th, 12th, and 14th floors of the same building. This expansion isn't just about square meters—it's about creating an environment that matches our ambitions and supports our team's diverse working styles.

What awaits us in our new workspace? The new floors offer:

✔ Open spaces for vibrant collaboration

✔ A number of two-person offices for focused work

✔ Two large conference rooms—one with a panoramic view of the city

✔ Cozy nooks and creative retreats for inspiration and flow

✔ Ergonomic workstations with height-adjustable desks

✔ Modern kitchen and bathroom facilities

✔ Lots of plants and colorful design elements for a feel-good atmosphere

A Housewarming Party for the Books

To celebrate this milestone, we threw a housewarming party that brought together our entire team, their families, and friends. The evening was filled with highlights that made it truly unforgettable:

🍖 A BBQ buffet that kept everyone fueled and happy throughout the evening, with delicious food that brought colleagues together around shared tables.

🌅 Sunset drinks on the roof terrace offering stunning views over Cologne as the golden hour painted the city skyline—a perfect backdrop for toasting to new beginnings.

✨ A magic show that added an extra touch of wonder and entertainment, delighting team members and their families alike.

As colleagues, partners, and friends explored the new floors, the atmosphere was electric. Music filled the air, laughter echoed through the halls, and conversations flowed as freely as the drinks. The mix of open collaboration spaces, intimate meeting nooks, and that spectacular rooftop terrace gave everyone a taste of the exciting possibilities our expanded workspace offers.

A Space That Grows With Us

This expansion represents more than just additional square meters—it's a testament to aedifion's growth journey. From our founding to becoming a team now of over 100 professionals driving innovation in the PropTech space, we've stayed true to our mission of making buildings smarter, greener, and more efficient.

The new workspace embodies our values: collaboration spaces that spark innovation, quiet zones that enable deep focus, and design elements—from plants to panoramic views—that prioritize well-being. Every corner reflects our commitment to creating an environment where our team can thrive.

At THE FLAG, we’re putting AI into practice

Our Trace Agent automatically turns guest requests from reservation comments into actionable tasks in Sweeply, helping hotel teams work more efficiently and reducing manual effort in day-to-day operations.

For hoteliers, this means clear operational benefits:

✔️ Around 30 tasks generated per day

✔️ Approximately 3.5 hours saved per week

✔️ Less manual data transfer between systems

THE FLAG Zürich is the first property to implement this solution, with further expansion planned across other properties.
