Trainee Python Engineer

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Python Trainee to join our growing development team.
This role is a foundation for your career, where you will assist in developing and
maintaining backend components primarily using Python. You will gain hands-on
experience by contributing to unit and integration tests, supporting API stability, and
working on various development tasks under the guidance of senior engineers. You’ll
collaborate closely with the dev team to learn best practices and contribute to high-quality code across our technology stack.

• Address second-tier issues reported by the support team.
• Investigate and reproduce user-reported bugs and support tickets (e.g., incorrect AI chat references, prompt handling, or simple UI/logic errors).
• Implement code fixes and improvements aligning with the product, especially in regard to API endpoints e.g. using FastAPI.
• Adjust and optimize AI prompts, templates, and configuration files.

• Minimum 2 years' experience coding in Python (ideally using FastAPI).
• Version control software (Git/BitBucket).
• SQL knowledge including basic understanding of database migrations.
• Interest in AI and NLP systems.
• Attention to detail and clear communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively with developers and product managers.
• Optional: Jira and Azure.
• Fluent English.
• Ideal for a computer-science student, trainee, or recent graduate who wants hands-on experience in AI product maintenance and development within a legal-tech environment.
