From Fragile to Flexible: Rebuilding Our Slotting Brain from Scratch

At Picnic, we aim to deliver groceries efficiently and sustainably, but that only works if our systems can keep up.

Our slotting algorithm (which decides when we deliver to which customer) was slowing us down. So instead of patching it up (again), we rebuilt it. From scratch.

Here’s what we learned in the process:
