Platform Engineer (m/f/d) at Appsfactory

Requirements

Several years of experience as a platform engineer or comparable qualifications
Confident in using Linux and its tools
Knowledge of planning and setting up networks (VPC)
In-depth experience in at least one large cloud vendor (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Design and implement the foundation for cloud architecture with managed and cloud native (microservice, container orchestration)
Experience in securing projects (e.g. security principles, zero trust and patch management (network, K8s, VMs)). B. Security Principles, Zero-Trust) and patch management (network, K8s, VMs)
Knowledge in planning observability, disaster management, on-call management systems
High degree of initiative, motivation and flexibility
German language skills in spoken and written at least C1 level
English language skills in spoken and written at least B2 level

Scope of Work

Foresighted development of modern solution strategies and implementation of distributed systems in the most common cloud platforms with cloud native approaches
Design of secure and resilient systems that are easy to operate
Close cooperation with development teams to ensure that the system meets the needs of all users
Internal and external contact person for infrastructure issues regarding security, effort, costs and maintenance in an agile context
Maintenance and further development of customer projects and ensuring that the platform runs smoothly
