Your profile:
- Extensive leadership or comparable experience in senior HR functions
- Experience in managing organizational change would also be highly valued
- Proven experience in working together with German Works Councils and in-depth knowledge of German labor law (experience with French labor law would also be beneficial, but not required)
- Excellent communication skills in German (C2) and English (min. C1); French is beneficial, but not required

The People & Culture Department is undergoing a shift in how it delivers value to the organization. Going forward, it will be critical that the following topics are prioritized:
- Driving a performance-culture across the company
- Empowering our leaders, helping them operate with less dependence on the P&C Department
- Helping the organization drive efficiency, focusing on short-term and long-term business-success
- Supporting the organization shift to an office-first culture, leveraging in-person interactions
- Partnering with our Works Council to best address the needs of our business and our people
Your responsibilities:
- Drive the strategic design and execution of a performance culture across the company
- Together with our People Business Partners, continually optimize internal processes for efficiency, ensuring that our Leaders and business teams are empowered, educated and supported to lead their teams and address related challenges
- Ensure the People Operations Team has the support, resources and guidance they need to succeed and flourish in a dynamic environment
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding teams to source talent, enhance our brand, maintain a robust candidate pipeline, and ensure open roles are filled efficiently
- Design strategies to ensure the retention and growth of key talent, as well as developing rigor around individual and team goal-setting and performance management
- Partner together with our shareholder, Axel Springer, on group-wide initiatives and complex employment law-related matters
- Lead the relationship management of our Works Council, partnering with them to ensure that both the needs of the business and the employees are considered when taking critical decisions
- Act as a sparring partner across all P&C functions, providing expert guidance on complex topics and identifying practical solutions
