Job description
As a Data Engineer, you play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business and technology, ensuring the seamless integration of our Axon software into our clients' tech ecosystems. Your primary responsibilities include:

Contribute to the data integration framework: Develop and enhance a robust framework that feeds into a graph data model for the digital twin of large industrial supply chains.

Work with complex supply chains: Collaborate with clients managing large and intricate supply chains, ensuring the seamless integration of data from various sources into the graph model.

Handle big data: Manage, process, and optimize performance for large-scale datasets, ensuring the system can handle the demands of big data environments.

Optimize pipeline performance: Continuously improve the data pipeline to reduce processing times, improve throughput, and ensure scalability for future growth.

Develop new features: Lead the development of new features for the data integration framework, contributing to the growth and adaptability of the system.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work alongside cross-functional teams, including solution experts, software engineers, data scientists, and analytics specialists, throughout the entire development lifecycle, from conception to testing.

Write high-quality code: Ensure clean, maintainable, and efficient code that meets the needs of both internal and external users, enhancing the overall user experience and functionality.

Manage data integration projects: Oversee the data integration tracks within Axon projects, ensuring objectives are met, communicate these, and maintain clear documentation to support collaboration and future reference.
Requirements

- Experienced: You bring 2-3 years of experience in data engineering, ideally within a cloud-based environment and/or on product platforms.
- Tech-savvy: You are skilled in Scala, PySpark, SQL, and tools like Azure Synapse and/or Databricks. You have hands-on experience with modern system design practices and a solid understanding of source control, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Bonus skills: You have an interest in or familiarity with supply chain data models or the Supply Chain sector.
- Languages: You are fluent in English.
- Educational background: You hold a university degree in Information Technology or a related field.

- You have a valid driver's license or will obtain this in the next 6 months.
