Job description
We are looking for a skilled Analyst Developer to join the Distribution & Gateway (D&G) product team. Your main focus will be developing and maintaining D&G applications. You will report to the Product Lead of the D&G team and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to deliver high-quality solutions., * Analyze business requirements for D&G applications and translate them into robust technical designs.
- Develop, test, and maintain Java-based services and applications using Spring Framework (Spring Boot preferred).
- Design and implement RESTful APIs.
- Collaborate with front-end and back-end teams; ensure well-structured data exchanges and integration patterns.
- Manage and optimize relational data models (Oracle SQL) and contribute to data design.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance under high-volume conditions.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and ensure scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Participate in CI/CD, code reviews, testing strategies, and release activities.
- Create and maintain clear documentation; provide effective production support and knowledge transfer to operations.
- Proactively identify risks and issues, proposing mitigations and alternative approaches.
- Communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders in English; knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a plus.
- Promote continuous improvement of service quality and agile practices.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Spring Framework?, * Experience with front-end development using Angular.
- NoSQL experience (e.g., MongoDB) and willingness to leverage it where appropriate.
- Knowledge of AWS and cloud-native patterns is a plus.
- Insurance domain knowledge, especially Commercial Lines, is an asset.
- Familiarity with performance testing, monitoring tools, and modern DevOps practices.
Your profile
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an IT delivery context with a focus on analyst/developer work.
- Fluent English; knowledge of French and/or Dutch is an advantage.
- Pragmatic mindset with a focus on delivering value quickly and with high quality.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and business colleagues.
- Proactive risk management and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
