Job description

  • Installation, configuration, and operation of existing and new hardware and software in the area of network infrastructure with a focus on WLAN, Cisco ISE, and VPN
  • Maintenance of network components in the management systems as well as documentation of changes within the network infrastructure
  • Planning and implementation of expansions and capacity increases within the WLAN infrastructure
  • Order processing, awarding, and acceptance in the area of network infrastructure, including fiber optic and copper cabling
  • Troubleshooting network issues (2nd level support)
  • Leading projects or participating in projects and specialist groups
  • Taking over deputizing within the network team during absences

Requirements

  • Solid basic training in network technology
  • At least three years of professional experience as a network technician, Cisco certifications are an advantage
  • Knowledge of routing & switching, Cisco Catalyst Center, Firepower, WLAN controller, and ISE
  • Knowledge of cabling techniques (fiber optic and copper), DNS/DHCP, cloud services
  • Very good German skills (spoken and written) as well as good English skills
  • Balanced, communicative, and team-oriented personality with a high level of service commitment and customer orientation
  • Very independent and flexible as well as open to new technologies
