Job description

Join Roche's Solution Automation, Integration & Testing organization - where we design and optimize diagnostic laboratory automation solutions that enhance testing efficiency, clinical service, and patient care. We are looking for a Solution Lab Manager who combines technical expertise with strong leadership and is eager to shape the laboratories that support our next-generation diagnostic solutions., * Overseeing daily operations of solution laboratories, ensuring efficient workflows and regulatory compliance.

  • Maintaining laboratory readiness as a representative customer-like test environment.
  • Enforcing safety, documentation, and quality standards across all laboratory activities.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for laboratory operations and user support.
  • Developing and implementing the overall laboratory strategy in close collaboration with test and project teams.
  • Managing the laboratory lifecycle, including maintenance, inventory, and equipment logistics.
  • Procuring consumables and reagents to ensure continuous laboratory operations.
  • Coordinating calibration, certification, and equipment repair activities to minimize operational downtime.
  • Ensuring laboratory documentation is up to date and compliant with internal and external standards.
  • Leading laboratory tours and providing safety introductions for visitors.
  • Acting as Test Manager when required to support ongoing testing activities.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Management?, You bring a combination of technical knowledge, analytical thinking, and collaboration skills to the role. Your profile includes:

  • Proven experience in laboratory, equipment, workflow, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong understanding of both hardware and software systems and their integration.
  • Experience in testing or system integration, ideally within medical diagnostics.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation abilities across different stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English and German (B2 level or higher).
  • Basic understanding of laboratory IT networks and simulated environments.
  • Dynamic, flexible, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Knowledge of cross-contamination studies and related laboratory testing.
