The Director IT (m/f/d) is responsible for strategic and operational leadership of the IT department, providing the vision of the company's technology strategy, overseeing IT operations, and ensuring technology initiatives align with business objectives. This role emphasizes a servant leadership approach, fostering a supportive and empathetic work culture that empowers people to perform at their best., * Manage the IT Team and overall IT Operations and infrastructure for a medium-sized company north of $100 Million in revenue, including datacenter and cloud platforms, software applications and DevOps operations

Demonstrate extensive IT Project Management skills, including design and security requirements, vendor selection, negotiation and cost optimization, stakeholder management, testing, and Go Live for a variety of IT Projects, ranging from infrastructure enhancements to enterprise digital transformation initiatives affecting company operations

Partner with and provide support to other functional areas of the business, including Go To Market, Product, Finance, Business Intelligence and Engineering teams by meeting SLAs, ranging from end-user hardware and software Service Delivery tasks to implementing complex architecture and infrastructure changes

Manage a globally distributed team (Germany/USA) using a follow-the-sun model, including providing 24/7 coverage to support for IT and security operations Plan and manage a diverse IT budget to ensure efficient allocation of financial resources, including skills in cost optimization, license management, and vendor negotiation, as well as delivering results to senior stakeholders and executive management, including areas at risk

Provide leadership and support to cybersecurity initiatives such as project implementation, incident response, business continuity/disaster recovery, and security audits such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2
Requirements
- 15+ years of progressive IT Leadership experience (10+ years managing a team of 15+ employees) in a software or SaaS company north of $100M+ revenue
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Relevant certifications preferred (PMP, ITIL, CISSP)
- Fluent in German and English
- Deep technological understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and cybersecurity concepts
- Experience managing enterprise software systems and implementing hardware and software solutions for stakeholders
- Proven track record of managing large-scale IT projects and budgets
- Cross functional collaboration experience and change management experience
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business value
