You will take a proactive leadership role in building the models, systems, and team that enable GRID's odds and pricing capabilities across multiple esports titles. You'll operate at the intersection of high-frequency predictive modelling, live trading logic, and deep, structured in-game telemetry data, bringing together cutting-edge data science with the speed and precision required by global betting markets.
What you will do
- Lead the development of betting-focused predictive models, pricing, and trading systems for an expansive set of outcomes across GRID-partnered esports titles
- Demonstrate an ability and desire to get involved in the implementation, deployment, and maintenance of models, products, and infrastructure
- Jointly own the data science roadmap with the product team for all modeling and pricing efforts, aligning it with GRID's broader betting and B2B strategy
- Take ownership of the Data Science team as a whole, undertaking all management functions, including people management and growth
- Design and maintain a model-development and training pipeline that is highly efficient and results in high-quality, accurate predictive models
- Monitor and continuously improve model performance, with clear metrics, feedback loops, and production observability in place, * Team building and mentorship: Ability to recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts
- Strategic vision: Defining the long-term data science roadmap, aligning it with overall business goals and priorities
- Business orientation: Identifying high-impact business problems that can be solved with data science and translating them into tangible projects
- Stakeholder collaboration: Working closely with C-level executives, product, engineering, and marketing teams to drive data-informed decisions

Requirements
Do you have experience in Research?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * Strategic Modelling for Odds Generation: Expert ability to develop, validate, and deploy advanced, low-latency models for real-time odds adjustment and pre-game pricing, utilizing significant knowledge of the betting industry to ensure model commercial viability and accuracy
- Deep understanding of Data Science principles: Proficient in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, experimental design, and data visualization
- Programming proficiency: Expert-level knowledge in languages like Python & Go, and experience with Big Data technologies
- Model deployment and MLOps: Experience guiding the transition of models from research/development to production environments, ensuring scalability and reliability
- Cloud platforms: Familiarity with major cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) for data storage, processing, and machine learning infrastructure
