Job description
You will serve in Laboratory Sciences (LS), Public Health Command Europe (PHCE), responsible for laboratory automation project efforts, monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating laboratory automation projects involving the use of a Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS); the identification, evaluation, and development of laboratory data requirements and integration of scientific instruments., * Establish a connection between various laboratory instruments, equipment to the LIMS interface for automatic communication
- Understand chemical and biological laboratory requirements and specifications to create tests and calculations used by LIMS to produce result data
- Use appropriate code to troubleshoot and fix software and system problems
- Investigate and resolve complex problems related to laboratory data reporting errors, identifying source and cause, and recommends resolutions of IAW applicable standards, data quality requirements, and LIMS user functional needs.
- Advise Laboratory Director, Scientific Director, Quality Assurance Officer, and Division Chiefs on approaches to the system management and control; technical aspects of laboratory system user's data requirements, system testing, documentation, and lab instrument integration.
Requirements
Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License, USAREUR driver's license, US Army Transportation Motorpool (TMP) driver's license, and International/EU Identity Card allowing travel within the EU for the entire term of service.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three-year experience in a laboratory setting.
- Be able to read, write, and speak English well.
