Job description
We are seeking a skilled and proactive EUC IT Desktop Support Technician to provide end-user and field IT infrastructure support. The selected candidate will assist users with laptop configuration and troubleshooting during deployment, ensuring a smooth transition. This is a short-term onsite engagement (approximately 10 days, starting the 24th November) during normal business hours., * Provide hands-on IT support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and operating system issues.
- Support installation and configuration of desktop applications.
- Perform smart-hand activities and network-related troubleshooting (LAN/WAN).
- Assist with laptop imaging and setup during the initial deployment phase.
- Maintain and replace networking/peripheral devices (monitors, routers, switches, etc.).
- Troubleshoot TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP-related issues.
- Ensure timely closure of IT support tickets using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
- Conduct preventive analysis to reduce recurring incidents.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong communication with end users.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, Technical Skills:
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure and end-user support.
- Strong understanding of Windows OS administration and basic knowledge of MAC/Linux OS.
- Experience in desktop/laptop/printer troubleshooting and break/fix support.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP.
- Capable of handling and installing hardware (up to 50 lbs).
- Familiarity with network cabling, firewalls, switches, and racks.
- Working knowledge of ITSM/ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).
- Certifications preferred: CompTIA A+, CCNA, or OEM vendor certifications (Dell, Lenovo, Toshiba).
