Job description
- Build and optimize backend systems using Python, PostgreSQL, and AWS (ECS, Fargate, S3, RDS) for data-driven applications.
- Develop APIs and microservices that connect data products to various platforms.
- Design database models, automate schema migrations, and ensure performance and security.
- Operate orchestration and CI/CD pipelines (Airflow, Docker, GitHub Actions) for reliable deployments.
- Collaborate across teams to solve technical challenges around data, with a focus on backend and data architecture.
- Perfect for backend engineers interested in working with data or growing into data engineering.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills (Python or similar) with database and API development experience.
- Experience with cloud platforms, infrastructure-as-code, and automated deployments.
- Understanding of data modeling, query optimization, and schema design.
- Interest in data-centric problem-solving and eagerness to learn more about data engineering tools and workflows.
- Comfortable working independently or collaboratively, and open to learning data engineering concepts
