This Position reports to: IS Manager
ABB Robotics is seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Operations Engineer to join our global IS team. In this role, you will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our Azure-based cloud infrastructure, supporting over 7,500 employees across 50 countries and 150 sites. You will work at the intersection of infrastructure, automation, and DevOps to drive operational excellence and enable digital transformation across our business.
Your Responsibilities:
- Ensure high availability and performance of cloud infrastructure components
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code Automation using Terraform, Ansible, or Azure Automation
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews
- Provide guidance on performance tuning, reliability engineering, and best operational practices
- Collaborate with application teams to support CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployments
You will automate deployment pipelines, implement self-healing and auto-scaling mechanisms, and support capacity planning and resource optimization. You will ensure infrastructure operations align with InfoSec policies and compliance requirements, support audit readiness, and maintain operational documentation. You will also help scale observability and DevOps tooling across environments while bridging gaps between infrastructure, development, and security teams.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Terraform?, * More than 5 years of experience in cloud operations, site reliability engineering, or DevOps roles
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or Azure Automation)
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD tools including Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
- Familiarity with ITIL principles and service management practices
