Job description

What are we looking for? We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Testing with experience in Java, working close to one of our main clients in banking sector. Responsibility Test Automation Leadership: Design, develop, and maintain advanced backend test automation frameworks for functional, regression, performance, and scalability testing for Java applications. Strategic Test Planning: Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive test strategies and plans, ensuring full coverage of features and functionality. Quality Advocacy: Act as a quality advocate within the engineering team, promoting best practices in test automation, continuous integration, and deployment. Collaboration: Work closely with mobile software developers to influence design and architecture with testability in mind, ensuring high standards of code quality. Requirements

Defect Management: Oversee the identification, documentation, and tracking of defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution. Innovation: Innovate within and across teams and provide technical leadership, bringing external market perspective. What UST expects from you? 6+ years of experience in software development and test automation, with a focus on designing and implementing robust backend automation frameworks. Strong programming skills in Java. Experience with backend automation tools like Cucumber or similar frameworks. Strong understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines, with hands-on experience in tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI. Proven ability to lead testing efforts, mentor junior engineers, and drive the adoption of best practices in test automation. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a fast-paced environment. Deep understanding of all stages in the Software Development Life Cycle. Deep understanding of design patterns and principles. Relevant experience with Cloud Computing (AWS is a plus). Experience working in an Agile fashion (e.g. Scrum, SAFe). Knowledge on accessibility testing and best practices (e.g. W3C). Good English level (C1); you will be working with international teams. Nice to have Regulated Environment: Experience working in a highly regulated environment, like banking and fintech. Degree in Computer Science. AWS certificate.
