Research fellow LLVM Software Engineer (RE1) Position at Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS). The role is part of the Computer Sciences department, participating in RISC-V ecosystem projects, focusing on vector code generation and HPC applications. Key Duties * Work in the LLVM middle end to implement a mechanism to classify vector memory accesses for better locality. Requirements * Education: Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Electronics or Mathematics. * Essential Knowledge and Experience: o Good C++ skills. o Experience in compiler development. o Some knowledge of LLVM and Clang codebases. * Additional Knowledge: o Good knowledge of Linux low-level interfaces (plus). o Knowledge of HPC architectures and systems (plus). * Competences: o Good communication and interpersonal skills to work within a team. o Problem-solving, proactive, result-oriented attitude. o Commitment to deliver high-quality code using industry best practices. o Curiosity and

Conditions * Location: BSC within the Computer Sciences Department. * Full-time contract (37.5 h/week) with flexible hours, restaurant tickets, private health insurance and relocation support. * Duration: Open-ended, linked to project budget. * Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st December as per collective agreement. * Salary: Competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience, adjusted for cost of living in Barcelona. * Start date: November 2025.
