The position involves developing software for handling different data structures, developing data processing algorithms (including high level processing with AI tools such as LLMs or image generators), cleaning and preparing data for further consumption, and preparing data visualization interfaces to communicate or explore the results. Also, the position involves developing and deploying novel analytical algorithms leveraging non-standard data storage technologies, as well as applying these to projects in the group related to relational (graph) datasets.

The developments will be developed to run in local machines and internal High-Performance Computing, as well as cloud architectures. The candidate will work in close collaboration with multiple projects and other members of the team in developing these tools. Key Duties

  • Develop software for handling and processing different data structures, developing and using appropriate database schemas.
  • Implement data processing layers for science driven projects using various statistical methods (up to and including AI models).
  • Implement usable tools to control and monitor the performance of the developed algorithms.
  • Develop and deploy the algorithms and models in suitable GUIs
  • Document code and data preparation and processing, ensuring traceability of the data
  • Produce documentation of the code and publish papers on the developments., * A cover/motivation letter with a statement of interest in English, clearly specifying for which specific area and topics the applicant wishes to be considered. • Interview phase: The highest-rated candidates at the curriculum level will be invited to the interview phase, conducted by the corresponding department and Human Resources. In this phase, technical competencies, knowledge, skills, and professional experience related to the position, as well as the required personal competencies, will be evaluated. - 60 points. A minimum of 30 points out of 60 must be obtained to be eligible for the position.

The recruitment panel will be composed of at least three people, ensuring at least 25% representation of women.
