Design Engineer (remote)

We are looking for a Design Engineer driven by innovation, mechanical design, and continuous improvement. You will join a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and project management departments to transform concepts into efficient, high-value technical solutions. Your mission will be to design and develop mechanical components and systems, ensuring they meet all functional, aesthetic, financial, and regulatory requirements for each project.

Main Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems, components, and assemblies according to project specifications.
• Develop and evaluate prototypes through functional and performance testing.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during the design, prototyping, or manufacturing stages.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, industrial designers, and production teams to ensure seamless mechanical integration.
• Ensure design feasibility in production by assisting with material selection, manufacturing processes, and supplier coordination.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, manufacturing instructions, and technical reports.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by adopting new technologies and industry best practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. (Master's degree or additional certifications are a plus.)
• Experience Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical design or related fields (automotive, industrial, manufacturing, etc.).
• Proficiency with CAD software (CATIA V5, 3DX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Hands-on experience with prototyping and design validation.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address complex engineering challenge.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
• Fluent in English reading and writing. Ability to speak Spanish would also be an advantage.
• Residence in or availability to relocate to UK.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in industries such as automotive, industrial machinery, or consumer products.
• Knowledge of additive manufacturing (3D printing) or CNC machining.
• Familiarity with PLM tools and ERP systems.
• Understanding of quality standards (ISO 9001) and other industry regulations.
• Fluent English (professional level); Spanish proficiency is a plus.
