Senior Database Administrator | SQL Server Specialist | 100% Remote

• Design, implement, and manage high-performance SQL Server databases.
• Administer Azure SQL Server and Azure Managed Instance, ensuring security and availability.
• Develop and maintain SSRS reports and SSIS ETL packages.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, replication failures, and security vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams on database optimization and structure.
• Manage backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies (Always On, clustering, log shipping, replication).
• Lead database migrations, upgrades, and cloud adoption initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with database security best practices and industry standards.
• Understand and implement DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD for database deployments.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases and hybrid cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Server and Azure Managed Instance.

• 7+ years in database engineering, administration, and performance tuning.
• Strong expertise in SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures).
• Proficiency in SSRS and SSIS.
• Advanced skills in query optimization and execution plan analysis.
• Experience with high-availability setups: Always On, clustering, replication, log shipping.
• Solid understanding of database security, auditing, and compliance.
• Design, implement, and manage Oracle and SQL Server databases.
• Optimize queries, indexes, and stored procedures for performance and scalability.
• Experience with cloud-native database solutions and automation.
• Understanding of NoSQL databases and hybrid cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Server and Azure Managed Instance.

Preferred Certifications

• Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional
