Job description
We are embarking on a global ERP transformation program, migrating multiple legacy systems into a unified Oracle-based platform. As IT Projects Portfolio Manager (FIS), you will oversee and coordinate a portfolio of 20-25 concurrent IT and Finance-related projects, ensuring alignment with SGS's global strategy, optimal use of resources, and delivery of business value.
The IT Projects Portfolio Manager will oversee a portfolio of IT and Finance-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, efficient resource allocation, and delivery of business value. This role combines portfolio governance, stakeholder management, and leadership with the ability to provide hands-on support for critical projects.
Working closely with project managers and senior stakeholders, the Portfolio Manager will monitor progress, resolve issues, and deliver clear executive reporting.
Key Initiatives May Include:
- Migration from legacy ERPs to Oracle ERP
- Treasury and finance systems replacement
- Credit card platform migration
- Electronic invoicing implementations
- Data cleansing & governance initiatives
- Onboarding new legal entities following acquisitions
- Major infrastructure transitions supporting ERP (, middleware to NGI Azure), * Lead a portfolio of 20-25 ERP and Finance-related IT projects, ensuring alignment with SGS's global transformation strategy.
- Evaluate, prioritize, and track projects based on value, risk, and capacity.
- Provide portfolio-level governance, KPIs, and executive reporting.
- Facilitate steering committees and approval boards.
- Identify and mitigate risks, interdependencies, and resourcing challenges.
- Collaborate with IT, Finance, and business stakeholders globally.
- Implement and refine portfolio management frameworks and best practices.
- Provide hands-on support for high-impact initiatives when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years' experience in IT project, program, or portfolio management.
- Proven track record in large-scale ERP transformation (Oracle strongly preferred).
- Experience coordinating 20+ concurrent projects across multiple regions or functions.
- Strong understanding of IT governance and delivery frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with multiple methodologies: Agile, Waterfall, hybrid delivery models.
- Certifications such as PMI-PMP, PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner), PRINCE2, or SAFe are highly valued.
- Skilled in portfolio governance, KPI tracking, and benefits realization.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution skills.
- Familiarity with Oracle and Finance systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in project management tools (Microsoft Project, ServiceNow, etc.).
