As a Staff Site Reliability Engineer, you will be fully empowered and accountable for driving impactful, complex, company-wide, and cross-area technical initiatives-ensuring robust, scalable solutions with exceptional operational standards. You will actively collaborate with the Engineering Manager (LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/in/--dev)), shaping not only the strategic direction of our Platform area but also influencing the broader company's technology landscape. Reporting directly to the Head of Internal Platform / Engineering Director (LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/in/lukaszbarulski/)), you will play a key role in continuously enhancing our systems and mentoring technical leaders across teams.

At Docplanner Tech, our core stack features are Elastic, Vault, MongoDB, MariaDB, Postgres, MSSQL, RabbitMQ, .NET, PHP, Go, Python, and modern JavaScript frameworks like Vue.js and React Native-all running on Kubernetes in AWS. Hands-on experience with several of these technologies is essential, as this role is deeply technical and process-oriented. In addition to strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a track record of shaping technical and process decisions are crucial to support and influence engineering teams effectively.
What you will be doing
- Lead and drive technical initiatives that impact company and area-level directions.
- Actively partner with your Engineering Manager counterpart and all engineering teams across the entire tech.
- Provide accountability for all the technical initiatives led.
- Work closely with the technical leaders of the area and the company to develop an effective technical strategy.
- Act as a point of reference for our Engineering teams, especially regarding Reliability, Resiliency, High Availability, Scalability, Observability, Performance, and Incident Response.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching inside and outside the team.

Requirements
- Have a solid technical background related to the cloud infrastructure and the whole SDLC process.
- Can support and unblock engineering teams in complex technical discussions.
- Approach reliability initiatives with a lean, proactive, and value driven mindset, balancing impact and long-term sustainable development, with a strong accountability for delivering high-quality solutions.
- Have a strong experience in working with web applications and a holistic understanding of complex systems.
- Have a strong relational database expertise.
- Have proven experience of working with AWS, Kubernetes, IaC
- At least 4+ years of experience in SRE practices: observability and monitoring (preferably DataDog), incident management, performance and costs improvements, hands on SLO implementation.
- Experience in cross-team initiative and creating buy-in for technical initiatives.
- Believe in continuous learning and improvement.
- Have experience not only designing/implementing/delivering high-quality and impactful solutions, but also guiding and mentoring less experienced engineers.
