Summary Location: Barcelona, Spain The Associate Director, IT Service Delivery position within Global Clinical Operations IT is a role at Novartis that aims to attract early career talent to tackle human disease. This role focuses on managing the clinical technology platform and collaborating within a cross-functional Veeva team to streamline and support Clinical Trial management. The position contributes to transforming lives through technology and clinical operations excellence. Make a meaningful impact by leveraging expertise in Clinical Operations to transform lives. Work with an industry-leading clinical platform to manage end-to-end trial processes efficiently and drive efficiency and effectiveness in Clinical Operations. Key Responsibilities Execute technology delivery strategy for business systems, platforms and processes for a particular business domain or function. Maintain end-to-end accountability for technology product delivery across business areas; partner with the business product owner to set the technology roadmap and ensure products generate business value for defined customers. Partner with Business Product Directors for demand analysis, solution proposals/evaluation and funding estimates for operations/projects. Collaborate with business partners to ensure Technology Service/Solutions Delivery teams deliver products according to strategy with reuse across other areas. Ensure services, solutions, and platform products are fit for purpose and deliver the desired business value and impact. Run efficient DevOps for platforms, products, or systems to ensure availability and optimal performance for the responsible function or service area. Establish governance for projects and operations with appropriate stakeholder representation, including IT services delivery and adherence to Security and Compliance policies and procedures. Track and report against agreed success factors and measurements for stakeholders, while considering user experience in

design, deployment, and steady-state operations. Contribute to transformation initiatives using the latest technology stack and industry trends to drive agility, speed, and efficiency. Manage application lifecycle management, data consistency, portfolio optimization, and continual improvements. Execute problem management with root-cause analysis and prevention of recurrences. Essential Requirements University degree and/or relevant experience and professional qualifications. Proven track record delivering technology products, including experience with Veeva Vault. Working knowledge of Clinical business processes within Pharma (eTMF, SSU, CTMS). IT technical strategy and planning, emerging technology monitoring, vendor management, and understanding of Agile methodologies. Proven ability to work in a cross-functional, matrix environment, building relationships and driving engagement. Experience with continuous improvement and change management; strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently and reliably. Proficiency in English (written and oral). Nice To Have Experience with other Clinical business process areas (e.g., Site connect, Payments & Study training). Experience adopting and developing Agile methodologies.
