EPAM is shaping the digital future for Fortune 1000 companies, building complex solutions using modern technologies. We are seeking a talented Cloud DevOps and Data Platform Architect with strong hands-on experience to design, build, support and decommission of Data Platforms.
The ideal candidate combines cloud engineering expertise with strong Data practices and a strong understanding of enterprise processes for organizations of 110k+. You'll be working with the customer on vision of the Commercial Data Platform based on AWS and Snowflake for seamless integration it into enterprise environment and processes.
Responsibilities
- Design the vision and architecture for a Commercial Data Platform on AWS and Snowflake
- Design and govern complex, large-scale user permission models and automation
- Develop strategies for managing environments (Dev/Test/Stage) cost-effectively
- Define and design data archiving and dismissal strategies
- Build, support, and decommission data platforms using IaC and CI/CD practices
Requirements
Do you have experience in Terraform?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Do you have background and wide experience in DevOps and strong knowledge in Data Architecture? If it sounds like you, this could be the perfect opportunity to join EPAM as a DevOps/Data Platform Architect., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS preferred, Azure, or GCP)
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD)
- Hands-on experience with at least one data platform such as Snowflake or Databricks
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or cloud-native solutions)
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across engineering and product teams
- A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on automation and efficiency
Nice to have
- Background in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
- Exposure to security and compliance frameworks (SOC2, GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001)
- Experience in data-intensive or regulated industries (finance, pharma, healthcare)
- Familiarity with serverless and event-driven architectures
