Job description
At Agile Robots, we build intelligent robotic systems that learn from high-quality human demonstrations. As we expand our global data collection efforts, we are looking for a Robot Teleoperator (m/f/d) to help teach our robots through real-time teleoperation. In this role, you will remotely operate robotic arms to perform everyday manipulation tasks such as picking, sorting, and simple assembly while capturing the data that fuels our research and product development. You'll follow structured procedures, ensure demonstrations are consistent and realistic, and provide clear feedback to engineering teams working to improve our systems. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on interaction with technology, has strong attention to detail, and is comfortable performing tasks that require precision and good hand-eye coordination.
Your Responsibilities
Teleoperation & Data Collection
- Operate robotic systems remotely using teleoperation interfaces to perform manipulation tasks (e.g., pick-and-place, sorting, assembly).
- Follow defined procedures and task instructions to ensure consistent, high-quality data collection.
- Record and label data accurately according to experiment or project requirements.
Task Execution & Quality
- Maintain precision and attention to detail during teleoperation to ensure realistic and useful demonstrations.
- Review and verify collected data; report anomalies, errors, or task issues to supervisors.
- Adhere to safety and operational guidelines at all times.
Collaboration & Feedback
- Communicate clearly with engineering/research teams regarding system performance or operational difficulties.
- Provide feedback on task interfaces and workflow efficiency to improve the data collection process.
Basic System Handling
- Set up and calibrate teleoperation devices (e.g., control interfaces, cameras) following standard procedures.
- Manage session recordings and file uploads as instructed.
- (Preferred) Perform simple troubleshooting such as restarting software, reconnecting devices, or checking logs.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions accurately.
- Comfortable operating robotic arms or mechanical systems under supervision.
- Basic familiarity with computers, data files, and recording tools.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Good hand eye coordination, * Experience with teleoperation, gaming controllers, or similar real-time control interfaces.
- Familiarity with robotics, computer vision, or data labeling workflows.
- Technical background in engineering, mechatronics, or computer science (not required but a plus).
