Job description

For our development team, we're looking for a Hardware Engineer to join us to accelerate growth and product development. You will serve as an important link between the Go-To-Market and the Product/Engineering parts of the company and will be a key partner to Sales, Customer Success, and Partnerships teams in shaping how our providers use the product and how our product evolves with the providers' needs., You'll be responsible for the development of the ticketbro selfcheckout terminal. You have the chance to enhance the product by implementing your own ideas and you will bring feedback and feature wishes from big providers who are using the selfcheckout terminal on a day to day basis to live.

  • Building delightful experiences and features that users love from end to end for the ticketbro selfcheckout terminal.
  • Working with the selfcheckout terminal and the connected hardware is the core of your work which is why you should be located in Munich or in the vicinity. You are willing to come to the ticketbro office (in the heart of Munich) to work on your tasks.
  • Bringing innovative ideas to the table and shaping the future of our product.
  • Working very collaboratively, empowering others and improving the product as a team.
  • Partner within the product team and work interdisciplinarily to understand provider's current challenges, requirements, and business objectives.
  • Solve challenging technical problems and requests on your own, by coding and developing the desired features or fix potentials bugs.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in software development in the area of hardware communications, especially printers, payment devices, scanners or a strong will to explore those technologies autonomously (e.g. CUPS, JavaPOS, ZVT or other technologies/protocols for hardware communication)
  • 2+ years experience in software development with React.js
  • Experience with an IoT fleet management software (e.g. Balena) is a plus
  • Experience in using GraphQL as a client is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English with interest in communicating with providers when required
