Senior Director of IT, Business Relationship Manager (BRM) works as the strategic interface, with assigned areas of the business, for the purpose of business-IT strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management. These individuals serve as the relationship linkage between the business and IT. They provide highly-valued strategic consulting level support and guidance throughout key IT initiatives. They facilitate, and serve as a lead, for the planning and execution of initiatives to enable the business teams to achieve objectives through the effective use of technology. They also communicate decisions, priorities and relevant project information to appropriate levels of staff regarding service requests, projects and initiatives. Business Relationship Managers proactively serve as a "trusted advisor," and function as a key point of contact for IT business stakeholders. They represent IT to the business teams by promoting IT's vision, value, services, and capabilities. They also act as advocates on behalf of business stakeholders to ensure IT services meet their business priorities and needs. Individuals in this role must be able to communicate clearly, negotiate, listen, mitigate conflict, build alliances and achieve desired results using strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills. Their knowledge of technology risks and opportunities are shared to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the business teams. Additionally, the Senior Director of IT, BRM oversees the Operating Company IT team in areas of ERP, Engineering, Sales Enablement support and development, and financial and compliance management, among others. Key Responsibilities
- Establishes and maintains a strategic relationship at appropriate level for key stakeholders
- Understand business strategy and align IT strategy and roadmap to enable business initiatives
- Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of IT and the services provided by IT, and how IT solutions can support the achievement of short- and long-term business goals.
- Represents the business strategies and priorities to IT
- Represents the IT vision to the business
- Keep up with technology trends and leverage technology to improve efficiency, productivity, and enable growth within areas of responsibility
- Manage business demands; set priorities working with business leaders
- Work closely with Applications team for Build and Run, ensure priority is appropriately given to your area's needs
- Work with corporate teams in a matrixed organization to drive security, infrastructure, enterprise applications and support needs
- Partner with business to evaluate, build business case and implement new technologies such as Digital, Industry 4.0, IOT solutions
- Own IT budget & Compliance - GDPR, SOX
- Manage a team of Regional Site Managers, Project Managers, Business Analysts and Developers, Reports for this role: Regional Site Managers, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers and Service Management personnel #LI-SC1
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business or a related field; MBA preferred
- Minimum of 15 years of internal/external IT experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management, business analysis, consulting, process engineering or solutions management or other related area
- Experience successfully leading large, complex projects and/or in business/IT consulting/management roles
- Experience successfully implementing, leading and supporting Engineering and technical support teams (SolidWorks, AutoCad, Plant3D, etc.)
- Experience successfully implementing, leading and supporting ERP, CRM support and technical teams (SAP, IFS, Navision, Mapics, Salesforce Sales, Service and Field Service, etc.)
- Requires leadership and negotiation skills and experience/in-depth knowledge of the business requirements analysis and IT processes
- International experience preferred; German and English language required
- Ability to work autonomously
