Job description

  • Determine licensing requirements, analyze terms, and document licensing data, including historic license data and new purchases, to maintain a comprehensive commercial software license inventory.
  • Organize technical data collection and document usage data, ensuring inventory data quality and generating transparent reporting on consumption per OE/branch and Service Owner.
  • Compile and analyze license balance, map commercial and technical inventories based on license metrics, and identify licensing deviations (under-/over-licensing) to support software compliance management reporting.
  • Support rectification of licensing deviations, check for unused licenses within Global License Management scope, and assist in SAM control and governance development.
  • Participate in contract negotiations, cost and revenue planning, and execute Service Charging for respective licenses, ensuring the implementation of the strategic framework and specifications of Allianz Technology SAM.
  • Ensure process efficiency and compliance within the area of responsibility, operationalize ITAM requirements, and assign data requirements to stakeholders such as Software Product Owners and external service providers.
  • Collaborate with other global and local license managers, supporting risk or M&A software compliance assessments and maintaining the responsibility for SAM within the designated area., When we do work with recruitment agencies, that engagement is formalized by a contract. Fees will only be paid when there is a contract in place. Without a contract in place, we will not accept invoices on unsolicited resumes, even if the candidate was ultimately employed by Allianz.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in data processing, analytical background, report generation, and experience in handling compliance positions, including cost and revenue planning, forecasting, and invoicing.
  • Strong understanding of software contracts, particularly important clauses for License Management, and experience in contract negotiations.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow SAM Pro, ServiceNow ITOM, or other SAM tools, with relevant certifications such as ServiceNow ITAM/SAM, CSAM, or Publisher Licensing certifications (e.g., Microsoft, IBM, Adobe).
  • Fluent in English, both speaking and writing, with good interpersonal skills to adapt to different stakeholders at all hierarchical levels and build trusted relationships.
  • Ability to communicate and present in a convincing and structured way, with effective problem-solving, analytical, and modeling skills combined with strong business assessment and strategic thinking.
  • Fast learner with a confident, positive attitude, capable of quickly adapting to new challenges and environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of license metrics for perpetual licenses and cloud subscriptions, with 5+ years of experience in license management and software asset management
  • Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and their practical use.
