Job description

The Data Zone Europe team is looking for its future Senior Data Engineer. You will report to the Zone Europe Head of Data Engineering, and as a Senior Data Engineer, you will participate in the development of our data infrastructure. You will be responsible for:

  • Designing, standardizing, and optimizing data pipelines.
  • Ensuring the scalability, stability, and performance of platforms.
  • Understanding data and preprocessing needs.
  • Overseeing our CI/CD.
  • Collaborating with internal and external resources.
  • Mentoring junior data engineers.
  • Communicating best practices and contributing to the team's skill development.

Requirements

Do you have experience in SQL?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Previous professional experience in data engineering

  • Fluent in English
  • Flexible working environment, * Master's degree in data engineering or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
  • Experience in DataOps / DevOps, particularly in building GitHub CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency in modern cloud-based data architecture.
  • Knowledge of Azure, Databricks, DBT, Snowflake tools.
  • Experience in deploying and maintaining ML models in production is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.

Current and future projects across business teams encompass data-driven marketing, data-driven sales, pricing, product information management, a consumer data platform, and sustainability. There is a special focus on a Consumer Data Hub project which has the ambition of bringing all of Nestlé's consumers across Europe together into a common solution (CDP+ Data Lake) to foster more engagement with our consumers.
