Job description
As an Information Security Officer, you ensure that information within WUR is well protected. You are the connecting link between management and the Chief Information Security Officer and work closely with data managers/stewards, privacy officers and IT. What does your work entail in concrete terms?
- You identify risks, advise on appropriate measures and help embed them in the organization;
- You advise on secure software and data usage and perform data classifications;
- You develop workable processes that help employees to work safely;
- You raise awareness about information security with practical support and information;
- You regularly coordinate with other Security Officers within WUR to share knowledge and coordinate working methods;
- You dare to control, escalate and keep management on a sharp eye on risk acceptance., You will work for two units within WUR: the central staff departments such as HR, Finance and Communication. In addition, for the Sciences Group Animal Science Group (ASG). Within ASG you will be part of the Data@ASG team. This team consists of the data management specialist, IT and the privacy officer. This means that you will meet a variety of people with whom you will work together, from business operations specialists to researchers and teachers., We offer a contract of 0.6 FTE for one year with the intention of converting it to an indefinite contract. Requirements
- You have a higher professional education (HBO) working and thinking level, and demonstrable experience with information security (such as CISM, CISSP or similar knowledge);
- You are a strong communicator, can switch well between levels and know how to get people moving;
- You have experience in an advisory role, for example as a business consultant, auditor or security officer;
- You are tenacious, dare to push back and know how to make an impact within a complex organization;
- You have a practical, hands-on mentality and keep an overview;
- You have an excellent command of the Dutch language (C1) and can get by well in English (B2).
