The work
As a Data Science & Machine Learning Engineering Manager, you will be part of our Data & AI team within the Strategy & Consulting practice. You will be working with diverse clients across multiple industries, guiding organizations in their data & AI journey, delivering analytics solutions and helping clients turn data into actionable insights to drive innovation.
People
- Manage project teams of experts, including data scientists, Machine Learning Engineers and other AI professionals on (Gen)AI best practices, analytics, and innovation assignments.
- Serve as a mentor for junior and senior team members, providing career guidance and fostering professional growth.
- Partner with key stakeholders to demonstrate the value of Data Science, ensuring solutions are aligned with their business objectives.
- You will help building and growing the team, actively developing data & AI skills that shape the teams' strategic direction.
Processes
- Lead Data Science projects, from concept to implementation, ensuring high-quality outcomes and alignment with client needs.
- Build and maintain client relationship, acting as a trusted advisor to drive adoption and success with AI initiatives.
- Drive business development from a Data & AI perspective and connect with Industry and Function experts within Accenture
Technology and Data
- Collaborate with our practice leadership on setting the vision and direction of the Data Science team.
- Utilize your expertise in Data Science, Machine Learning and (Gen)AI to create meaningful business impact.

Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience in consulting capacity, or project management type roles in Data Science & ML areas
- Master's degree (WO) in a quantitative field (Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Econometrics, Business Analytics or any other relevant studies) with specific emphasis on data
- Fluent in English (both spoken and written)
- Experience with relevant programming languages (SQL, Python, R, etc.), Machine Learning techniques (Neural Networks, Random Forest, etc.), Cloud computing (AWS, Azure or GCP) and ML & Agentic AI frameworks (Langchain, LangGraph, PyTorch, Tenserflow, etc.).
- Thorough and in-depth understanding of the technical fundamentals behind (Generative) AI technologies
- Professional experience leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams, setting up a practice and building skills.
- You have a clear vision on Data & AI, what direction the capability will move towards and are able to share this vision with both your colleagues and our clients
